An Inclusive Strategic Plan for the Performing Arts and a Growing City

In 2021, the City of Brampton’s Performing Arts team engaged Bespoke to develop an inclusive performing arts strategic plan that reflected the creative vibrancy of the city and its artistic community. We started off the process with conversations with local residents, creatives, emerging and established artists.

We closely reviewed the city’s four performing arts venues to develop a cohesive plan that would strengthen connections across neighbourhoods and build stronger visibility across locations and venues.  After six months of consultation, research and public engagement we reframed the organization’s mandate, vision, and values. Bespoke identified clear strategic priorities and an implementation roadmap, to be guided by a community advisory group. Equity, diversity inclusion and access were a critical foundation and lens for this work.
