Strategic Planning Roadmap & Social Media Plan

The board at Gallery TPW engaged Bespoke to support strategic planning at a critical moment within the organization’s evolution. With the departure of staff, the board looked to define a new path forward and to establish an actionable plan to create stability during a period of transition. At this time, there was also a desire for the gallery to be more relevant to the local arts community and work harder to serve under-represented and more diverse artistic voices and audiences.

An integral part of this process was a thoughtful research phase that supported capacity building within the board. Our research and information gathering involved desk research, a series of “Meet and Eat” learning sessions with several Toronto artistic leaders, a full audit of Gallery TPW’s communications, grants and budget, a day long board retreat so that the board could discuss the mandate, budget, roadmap and staffing. The insights from our in-depth research process were used to critically assess and refine Gallery TPW’s vision, set achievable budget targets and create a roadmap to guide the next 12 months.

Through our work, Gallery TPW effectively transitioned from a small Board with no permanent leadership, into a successful artist-run centre with new leadership, a new programming model and a dynamic and thriving board with a strong digital presence over COVID.
