Maricris Rivera (she/her)
Project Coordinator
Maricris is a collaborative project coordinator and manager who brings a wealth of experience in producing live and digital theatre. Recent work on project coordination, event planning and research as part of the Bespoke team include the Toronto Biennial of Art, ARCA (Artist Run Centres Association), Shakespeare in Action Theatre and the Town of Oakville's public engagement events and social media. She also worked as a research assistant on the Safer Spaces Project, a set of care centred guiding principles to help guide the performing arts in Hamilton.
Maricris has worked with a number of large theatre companies in the GTA in a project lead and administration capacity, including Theatre Sheridan, Soulpepper Theatre, and Tarragon Theatre. She is also a freelance producer, artist and educator, and is involved with community engagement in the Philippine diaspora through her work with the multidisciplinary group, the Tita Collective. She holds a BA in Arts and Contemporary Studies with a Major in Cultural Studies and a Double Minor in Marketing and English from Toronto Metropolitan University.
