Mount Sinai Foundation Exhibition

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Mount Sinai Hospital, we worked with the Foundation to create an immersive, interactive engagement experience to share the story of their past, present and future with their community of donors, staff and the broader public. Bespoke and elsonstudio came together to create a temporary exhibition at the AGO that brought this ambitious story to life. 

To tell the story of Mount Sinai’s history, we reimagined archival materials in unexpected ways by letting the visitor literally step into the hospital's greatest moments across history. The overall narrative celebrated the hospital’s impact on their  community,  city, and the world of medicine. We combined spectacle with interactivity; from a tower of nickels representing the pocket change that paid the downpayment on the hospital’s first home, to giant pop-up books that visitors could explore to see how the hospital has grown and changed, to incubator installations that shared moments of pride and firsts for the hospital. This exhibition brought the history of the hospital to life, and asked visitors to feel a part of its future.
