Communications Strategy & Public Engagement
Since 2017, Bespoke has been engaged by Waterfront Toronto as an ongoing engagement and communications partner, to shape and deliver a wide range of projects that aim to connect with the wider public on city building issues. Working in close collaboration with their team, we have been developing strategies for building visibility around the waterfront transformation in ways that are welcoming, meaningful, and inspiring. Over the last two years we have launched a series of outdoor pop-up activations, a consultation trike, conducted focus groups with under heard audiences, designed digital surveys focused on public space, and organized major 500-person townhall events. We have successfully delivered over 81 projects over the past two years.
We have worked with the organization on a major communications strategy initiative to help clarify public-facing core messaging and we developed the tagline “A waterfront that belongs to everyone.” This work has informed the organizations strategic plan, annual reports, and reframed how they communicate their values to the public. Most recently we have worked with Waterfront Toronto on a public awareness campaign for the Port Lands - one of the largest infrastructure projects in Canada.
